Friends supports the Library:

- “The Friends money allows us to purchase book and film collections. This year we
did a lot of updating of the nonfiction collection for adults and young adults. We
were specifically looking at how we could support the current curriculum for the
Holden schools, so we spent a lot of money on American and world history texts,
countries of the world, etc.
"In the children's room, we looked at their support for homework and did the same
thing. Thousands of dollars were spent on non-fiction for grades K through 6.
"We also continue to build up our popular DVD and audio collections with Friends
money. It gives the Friends great visibility - every item has a Friends label.”
Friends of Gale Free Library is a not-for-profit organization that is supported by its
